The given article deals with the investigation and generalization of verbal peculiarities of the author's selfhood in a modern francophone essay. Essay text analysis of the famous French author Philippe Delerm allowed to stand out specific characteristics of his aesthetics art in the process of discovering the world through self-understanding. Reconstruction method of the author's mentality can be provided by evolving synthetical components of the essay text proved authors remarkability, accomplishment, eggheadism, whose philological domain knowledge cooperate with his fertile imagination, sensitivity, benevolent view of life. Philippe Delerm’s individual metaphoric expressions, synthetical components, allegorical images, scientific terminology and slangy words reflect authors great personality.
