Virtual and augmented reality in teaching natural sciences in primary school

This article explores the transformation of digital education within the framework of the New Ukrainian School (NUS), focusing on the dual pillars of teacher competence and innovative classroom technologies. The author argues that digital competence has evolved from basic ICT skills into a meta-professional quality, aligned with the European DigComp framework, which is essential for creating flexible, student-centered learning environments. A significant portion of the study is dedicated to the practical application of immersive technologies, such as Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), in teaching natural sciences to primary school students. Tools like MozaBook, Star Walk, and Google Expeditions are highlighted for their ability to foster investigative thinking and provide inclusive access for students with special educational needs. Despite the acceleration of "forced digitalization" due to pandemic and war conditions, the article concludes that sustainable progress requires a shift toward deep pedagogical design thinking and the integration of cutting-edge tools like Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize the educational process.

Visual art as a means of forming intercultural competence of primary school students in the european educational space

The article substantiates the role of visual arts as an effective pedagogical tool for developing intercultural competence among primary school students within the context of European educational values. The author reveals the potential of art in fostering empathy, tolerance, and the ability to perceive "unity in diversity" through the interpretation and creation of artistic images. Special attention is given to the comparative analysis of artistic traditions (specifically European and Ukrainian), which helps children realize their own cultural identity and accept global cultural diversity. It is established that integrating artistic activity into the educational process is an essential condition for nurturing global citizenship and harmonious coexistence in modern society.

Освітня робототехніка як засіб розвитку креативності учнів в контексті професійної підготовки майбутніх учителів початкових класів

У статті розглянуто роль освітньої робототехніки як одного з ключових інструментів розвитку креативності учнів початкових класів у сучасному освітньому середовищі. Акцентовано увагу на важливості формування здатності до оригінального мислення та самостійного розв'язання проблем у контексті Нової української школи (НУШ) та STEM-підходу. Визначено дидактичний потенціал робототехніки, що реалізується через проєктну діяльність, експериментування та командну взаємодію. Окреслено особливості впровадження робототехнічних платформ (LEGO Education WeDo, Bee-Bot, Blue-Bot) та їхній вплив на розвиток алгоритмічного й образного мислення. Обґрунтовано, що створення безпечного середовища для навчання через помилки сприяє формуванню креативної стійкості та підвищенню мотивації школярів до творчої діяльності.

У статті розглянуто особливості професійної підготовки майбутніх учителів початкових класів до розвитку креативності учнів за допомогою STEM-технологій у контексті європейських освітніх стандартів. Акцентовано увагу на необхідності оновлення підходів до навчання в умовах цифрової трансформації та євроінтеграції. Визначено, що інтеграція STEM-освіти сприяє гармонізації української вищої школи із європейськими вимогами, забезпечуючи формування інноваційної педагогічної культури та професійної мобільності майбутніх фахівців. Проаналізовано роль міждисциплінарного підходу у розвитку критичного мислення та дослідницької активності молодших школярів.

Integration of digital technologies in primary school: European experience and Ukrainian perspectives

The article explores the transformation of the primary education space through the lens of digitalization, emphasizing that technology should serve as a tool for developing critical thinking, creativity, and emotional intelligence. By drawing on the humanistic pedagogical traditions of Vasyl Sukhomlynsky and Sofia Rusova, the author argues for a harmonious integration of digital tools with core human values. The study examines European systematic approaches to digitalization, specifically in Finland, Germany, France, and Estonia, highlighting their focus on individualized learning and interdisciplinary projects. Furthermore, the article analyzes the Ukrainian context within the "New Ukrainian School" framework, noting the shift toward competence-oriented learning and the use of interactive platforms. The conclusion emphasizes that successful digitalization depends not on the technology itself, but on the teacher's pedagogical mastery and their role as a mentor and inspirer.
