Анотація
Статтю присвячено актуальній проблемі формування медіаграмотності майбутнього вчителя початкової школи. Здійснено аналіз досліджень науковців, виділено аспекти становлення медіаграмотного здобувача вищої освіти. Відзначено роль дисципліни “Основи медіаграмотності майбутніх учителів початкової школи” у підготовці медіаграмотних фахівців, закцентовано увагу на її змістовому наповненні, подано стислий коментар щодо викладання тем і організації роботи студентів.
Стаття буде в пригоді викладачам закладів вищої освіти й учителям, які викладають курс медіаграмотності.

The article is devoted to the topical issue of future primary school teacher’s media literacy formation. The roleof media literacy in the formation of information and digital competence as one of the basic competencies of modernprimary education professionals, which is to understand the identity of orientation in the information space, waysto obtain information and manage it to meet their own needs and the requirements of today’s information society, aswell as providing quality education in higher education, is noted in the article.The author has analyzed foreign and domestic scholars’ research, noted their positions on the interpretation of theconcept of “media literacy”, theoretical and practical aspects of becoming a media literate higher education applicant.The analyzed scientific works allowed stating the active search of researchers in line with the outlinedproblem and at the same time insufficient disclosure of the issue of practical training of a media literate primaryschool teacher in a higher education institution.The article states that the introduction of the discipline “Fundamentals of Future Primary School Teachers’Media Literacy” to the curriculum of students majoring for 013 “Primary Education” will contribute to the trainingof media literate professionals. Emphasis is placed on the content of the mentioned above course, the optimalnumber of hours that should be devoted to its teaching. The author offers a list of lectures and practical classes’topics, which are divided into appropriate modules, gives a brief comment on the teaching of some topics and the organization of higher education applicants’ work.
