dc.descriptionThe article specifies the concept of the term “reception”, examines its nterpretation in various fields of science; makes an attempt to adapt the term in reference to fiction, researches the influence of different literary schools on the formation of the concept of “reception”. The paper analyzes the interaction between literary text and the reader, the reader’s perception of a literary text. The interest in the reception as in the process of borrowing and adapting society various texts that have arisen in different cultures and at different times, takes place against the background of displacing the interest from the author and the reader to the text. In this context, the work is examined not as an existing artistic value on its own, but as a part of the system in which it (the work) is in interaction with the recipient. As a result, the work is studied as a historically opened phenomenon, whise meaning and value are historically moving, changing and are the subject of rethinking. Literary reception is generally described as the reader’s perception of the artistic text. Such issues have been a part of the historical and literary studies of foreign schools of literary criticism for a long time. dc.description.abstractУ статті конкретизується поняття терміна “рецепція”, розглядається його тлумачення в різних галузях науки; робить спробу адаптувати цей термін стосовно художньої літератури, досліджує вплив різних літературних шкіл на формування поняття “рецепція”. У статті проаналізовано взаємодію художнього тексту з читачем, сприйняття читачем літературного тексту. Зацікавленість у рецепції, як у процесі запозичення та адаптації суспільством різноманітних текстів, що виникли в різних культурах та в різний час, виникає на тлі витіснення інтересу з боку автора та читача до тексту. У цьому контексті твір розглядається не як сама по собі існуюча художня цінність, а як частина системи, в якій він (твір) перебуває у взаємодії з реципієнтомuk
