- ДокументCLIL methodology in Ukrainian pedagogical universities: challenges and benefits(Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, 2023) Shymanovych, IrynaThe article highlights the implementation of the Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) methodology in higher educational establishments in Ukraine. The concept of CLIL is clarified, and scholars’ perspectives on the advantages of using content and language integrated learning in foreign language study are presented. CLIL has been identified as the most promising approach due to its integration of both professional and language training, combining subject-specific teaching tools with language instruction. The work emphasizes the necessity of CLIL implementation as a response to the growing demand for foreign language proficiency within the constraints of limited learning hours in pedagogical universities of Ukraine. The research investigates the challenges faced by educators in integrating CLIL into the existing language and pedagogical curriculum. The author examines the benefits and opportunities that CLIL offers for language learning and subject knowledge acquisition. It is revealed the significance of language proficiency and teacher training for successful CLIL implementation. The article points out the impact of CLIL on students’ motivation and engagement in the learning process. The author focuses on the role of CLIL in developing students’ critical thinking, problem-solving and teamwork skills. The main advantages of CLIL methodology include fostering motivation to learn a foreign language, enhancing learners’ creative mental abilities, and purposeful mastering of lexical units. The study also identifies potential barriers hindering CLIL integration. The strategies to address these challenges and enhance CLIL effectiveness in higher educational establishments are proposed. Overall, this research sheds light on the potential of CLIL to transform language teaching and subject learning in Ukrainian pedagogical universities while highlighting the need for appropriate support and preparation for educators and learners. The significance of content and language integrated learning lies in students gaining knowledge in various subjects that they can apply in their future professional activity.

Content and language integrated learning supports combining the academic content of non-linguistic subjects with a foreign language, which promotes gaining content knowledge and using the target language at the same time. It involves methodological techniques and strategies which instead of dealing particularly with teaching of the language itself, motivates teachers and students to use the language as a means of communication. In this way this approach promotes language and content development in the process.

There are instances that prevent the entire manifestation of the character, his/her self-achievement, self-expression, and self-agency. Such instances are barriers that accompany the educational procedure. The aim of the research is to give theoretical substantiation and offer pedagogical technology, which provides future teachers’ training on the application of cognitive barriers in their professional activities in terms of the pandemic caused by COVID-19. The main hypothesis of the research is the idea that specially organized future teachers’ training focusing on the formation of their competence in the application of cognitive barriers is the basis of their successful professional activities. The research methodology is built on the dialectical unity of such methods: comparative historical method, genetic method, competence-based method, systemic method, synergetic method. The proposed technology is built on the general didactic and specific principles and is accomplished via motivational, procedural, stages of obtaining experience, analytical, and reflexive stages involving appropriate strategies and tactics. It provides the result in the formation of future teachers’ competence in the application of cognitive barriers in professional activities.

The aim of the article is to analyze the views of present - day scholars on the leading aspects of gamification of the educational linguodidactics process, to determine the structural, methodological and psychological features of the elements of game at the lessons of English as a foreign language in primary school and to illustrate these features with fragments of the authorial experience. The epistemological and pragmatic context of the article is determined by the digital gamified environment of the child's life and activity, which has acquired global dimensions and has affected onto all spheres of life, including education.

In a rapidly changing world there is a great demand for teachers who are strongly motivated and interested in their professional development. It is stated that any good pre-service training cannot prepare teachers to the challenges in their profession. The focus of this study is on the need for self-education as a source of selfactualization and professional growth. The main purpose of this work is to highlight the importance of teacher development and define basic conditions that help to form future English teachers’ need for self-education as the driving force of their sustainable professional development.

So, the article aims to outline the key positions in this branch.
- ДокументTheoretical issues of future teachers’ sustainable professional self-development(Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, 2023) Shymanovych, IrynaThe article highlights some theoretical issues which are crucial for future teachers’ consistent professional growth. The paper touches upon the essence of the concept of «professional self-development» within the framework of teacher training. The research fundamental idea is traced back to its scientific origins an analysis is conducted to define the concept. It is stated that despite many published works that focus on or address a particular topic, there is ambiguity of approaches to the interpretation of «professional self-development» in scientific and pedagogical literature. The paper presents Ukrainian and foreign scientists’ understanding of the essence of professional self-development. The research reveals that in contemporary pedagogical science, professional self-development is viewed as a multifaceted concept. According to scientists, professional self-development of a teacher is regarded as a distinct activity that follows a particular structure, which includes elements such as motives, goals, content, subjects, objects, means, implementation conditions, approaches and outcomes. The concept and fundamental nature of «professional self-development» are analyzed and explored. According to the concepts of scholars, the author's definition of this phenomenon is explained, specifically within the context of the terminological field of training future teachers for their profession. Within the current scientific space, there exist multiple definitions of the term «professional self-development», each with their own distinct differences and variations determined by the researcher’s perspective, subject area of study, scientific beliefs and interests. Upon analyzing the conceptual and terminological framework of the research, it can be concluded that although there are numerous interpretations of the central concept in pedagogical discourse, professional self-development of future teachers is primarily regarded as a deliberate and innovative approach that involves improving one’s own personality and developing oneself into a professional. The author states that professional self-development is an essential aspect of pedagogical activity and a crucial element of contemporary teacher training.
