- ДокументThe peculiarities of using innovative methods of psychological and pedagogical diagnosis of children with disabilities(Бердянський державний педагогічний університет, 2021) Maliy, Natalia; Dyachenko, LarysaThe article considers the peculiarities of the application of innovative methods of psychological and pedagogical diagnosis of children with disabilities. Psychodiagnostic examination is organized taking into account the age and expected level of mental development of the child. These indicators determine the organizational forms of the diagnostic procedure, the choice of methods and interpretation of results. Diagnostic tasks should be available to the child. During the examination, the child must be offered a task that he can successfully perform, and in the analysis of the results, taking into account the tasks for which age group, the child coped. It is separately noted that at inspection it is important to reveal not only actual possibilities of the child, but also its potential possibilities in the form of a zone of the nearest development. This is achieved by offering tasks of varying complexity and providing the child with dosed assistance during the tasks. Strict scientificity is required in the selection of diagnostic tasks for each age stage, ie the examination should use those tasks that can identify which aspects of mental activity are violated in the examined child. It is emphasized that when processing and interpreting the results it is necessary to give their qualitative and quantitative characteristics, while the system of qualitative and quantitative indicators should be unambiguous for all examined children. It is noted that conducting psychodiagnostic research is always subject to a specific goal, which determines the ways to solve certain problems. - ДокументThe peculiarities of using inovative methods on the lessons of the English language in high school(Бердянський державний педагогічний університет, 2021) Shevchenko, MarynaThe article considers the use of innovative methods in English lessons on the example of personality-oriented method. The tasks of modernization of education cannot be solved without the optimal introduction of modern educational technologies in all its spheres. The use of innovative methods gives impetus to the development of new forms and content of traditional activities of students, which leads to their implementation at a higher level. Work with the use of such methods should be organized in such a way that from the very beginning it becomes a powerful psychological and pedagogical means of forming a motivational plan for students, a means of supporting and further developing their interest in the subject. It is emphasized that properly organized work of students with the use of innovations can promote in particular the growth of their cognitive and communicative interest, which in turn will enhance and expand opportunities for independent work of students to master a foreign language, both in class and after school. It is emphasized that the use of innovative forms of learning in contrast to traditional methods gives the student a major role in the acquisition of knowledge, in which the teacher is an active assistant, organizes, directs and stimulates learning activities. In his work, the teacher must not only solve educational problems, but also create conditions for students to independently creatively search, encourage them to research, develop skills of orientation in a huge information space and independent decision-making. And as a necessary condition in solving the tasks is the introduction of innovative technologies in the educational process. The constantly evolving system of information support in combination with technical support ensures the quality of the educational process. Innovative methods have become an integral part of the process of teaching and learning English. They help students to acquire the necessary skills for free use of English in a short time, namely: listening, reading, writing and communication skills. Given the importance of innovative methods, it should be noted that the central place in the teaching process is the personality of the teacher, who selects, evaluates and implements new methods. Thus, innovative methods help the teacher to solve a large number of organizational issues, to make the lesson more interesting, but innovation cannot completely replace the teacher. An analysis of other innovative trends in the teaching of English may be a prospect for further research.
- ДокументThe peculiarities of using texts in teaching of practice of oral and written speaking for the developmnent of communicative skills of students(Бердянський державний педагогічний університет, 2021) Ryzhkova, SvitlanaThe article considers the theoretical issues of teaching speech on the basis of the text and tried to reveal the possibilities of practical application of this technique. As a result, it is emphasized that this way of learning oral speech (both dialogic and monologue) has a number of advantages. The use of text makes it possible to make the learning process interesting and increases motivation. At the same time, to get good results, work on the text must be well organized. Close attention should be paid to the selection of texts taking into account the age and individual characteristics of students. Adherence to these requirements allows to overcome the shortcomings of the system of exercises presented in the textbook. When organizing work at the senior stage, students should be given the opportunity to show their individuality in the process of performing creative tasks. Our proposed set of tasks makes it possible to meet the requirements for the level of development of oral skills at the senior stage. However, as we have already found out, the benefits of including creatively oriented speaking tasks are difficult to overestimate, because students not only learn new lexical material and develop phonetic skills, but they also «immerse» in the language environment, which allows students to learn a foreign language in more depth. Thanks to such tasks, a favorable psychological climate is created in the classroom, the psychological load is reduced, and emotional tone is increased. As practice has shown, the task of teaching speech is one of the most effective means of improving the level of language proficiency of students in almost all aspects. As for the development of attention in adolescence, the amount of attention, the ability to maintain its intensity for a long time and move from one subject to another are at a given age at a very high level of development. However, the attention becomes selective, significantly dependent on the direction of interests. Another feature of the development of the cognitive sphere in adolescence is that the mental growth of high school students is not so much in the accumulation of skills and changes in certain properties of intelligence, as in the formation of individual style of mental activity. The style of thinking is largely determined by the type of nervous system, as well as the student's ability to balance their individuality with the objective, external conditions of activity. All that has been said above indicates the need for an individual approach to learning that stimulates the independence and creativity of students.

Technical university students’ beliefs about second language learning(Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, 2021) Chugai, Oksana; Korbut, Oksana; Svyrydova, LarysaDemand for language proficiency of technical university students leads to recognition of enhanced efficiency in language instruction. Using effective methods can not work because the second language learners have other beliefs which contradict with each other. The article deals with technical university students’ beliefs about second language learning and implications for university language teachers. The results of the research provide information for better understanding of teachers and students’ responsibilities in a second language learning class. The data was gathered through the survey regarding students’ attitude towards second language learning and individual feedback via Zoom sessions. Students gave their opinion on eighteen statements using a five-point Likert scale from “strongly agree” to “strongly disagree”. We used descriptive statistics to calculate the median (beliefs of most of the students) and Inter-Quartile Range of each item (how scattered their responses were). The findings showed that most technical university students agree with the statements about second language learning, most of which are “myths”. Reflection on the results of the survey, providing additional input concerning controversial statements about language learning and discussion in groups contributed to better understanding of students’ needs. The implications of the study suggest that being aware of students’ beliefs about second language learning allows teachers to adjust instruction to the needs of students, share with students knowledge about the language, which they need to make language acquisition more effective. Further investigations may be devoted to comparing technical university students and teachers’ beliefs about second language learning.

Studies have shown that the formation of English written language skills plays an important role in the process of learning and mastering a foreign written language at a senior stage. Considering the theoretical aspects of the formation of written skills, namely: the concept of foreign written language, goals and content of learning to write, ways and means of forming a foreign written language, we can conclude that learning to speak is inextricably linked with learning other speech activities . Writing skills allow to preserve language and factual knowledge, serve as a reliable tool for thinking, stimulate speaking, listening and reading in a foreign language. It is noted that in recent years the role of writing in foreign language teaching is gradually increasing, and, in a sense, writing is beginning to be seen as a reserve in improving the effectiveness of foreign language learning. One cannot ignore the practical significance of written language communication in the light of modern means of communication, such as e-mail, the Internet, etc. In the latter case, writing as a form of linguistic communication develops on the basis of only authentic material. It is emphasized that if you correctly define the goals of learning writing and writing, take into account the role of writing in the development of other skills, use exercises that fully meet the goal, perform these exercises at the appropriate stage of learning, then oral speech gradually becomes richer and more logical. Thus, based on the above statements, we can conclude that the main purpose of the work – to analyze the skills of written speech and their formation at the senior stage of learning English in high school - has been achieved, as well as the tasks. The classification of written skills was studied, the base of exercises was considered, the evaluation criteria were identified and the requirements and indicators of the formation of written skills were analyzed.
